I'm so glad you're trying out Compressly. If you're on Windows, before you run the installer, please read the short note about Windows Defender false positives. If you're on macOS, please follow the instructions listed under "macOS Gatekeeper" below.

Download v1.1.5 Windows Defender / SmartScreen
Some users may see a SmartScreen or Windows Defender warning for new releases of small apps distributed outside major stores. This is a false positive in many cases and can happen for low-distribution apps or unsigned binaries.
- If you see a "Windows protected your PC" message, click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
- If Defender blocks the download, you can temporarily disable real-time protection or add an exclusion for the downloaded file/folder.
macOS Gatekeeper
If you see a popup saying "Apple could not verify "Compressly" is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy", please follow these instructions on how to allow the app to run:
- Open System Settings and go to Privacy & Security.
- In the Security tab, you will see a message saying "Compressly was blocked to protect your Mac."
- Click "Open Anyway" to allow the app to run. Another popup may appear saying the same thing listed previously. Click "Open Anyway" once again.
- You might need to enter your administrator password to confirm.
- NOW you can open the app. Finally.
